A Song in the Rain

A Song in the Rain

What message do you have? Is your message in line with Justice and Mercy and Faith? Or Is your message in line with Democracy and Human rights and Law? Pride hides under the latter, it is the spirit of this world which seek the following: wealth, influence and power. The former is the message of the Holy Spirit, it is in contrast with the message of the world. The message of the Holy Spirit directs one to seek human dignity and salvation. Pride triumphs in the message of the world; hence, exploitation, domination, corruption and injustice which lead to conflicts, violence and war. Pride abuses human dignity and a hindrance to salvation. Due to pride, religious leaders, killed many prophets including the Messiah, Jesus. Similarly, world leaders do kill their opponents and go to war because they neglect the truth: Justice and Mercy and Faith. The three things are tightly connected and anchored in the two greatest commandments. Jesus said, "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40). Those who desire human dignity and salvation do not kill or sponsor conflict, violence, and war. While those who desire the kingdom of the world‒wealth, influence and power do kill or sponsor violence, conflict and war; yet, guided by Democracy and Human rights and the law. Hence, Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My Kingdom is not from here." (John 18:36). The Dangers of Pride argues that pride exists where there is no fear of God. The consequences of pride are many such as luxurious lifestyle, deep-rooted corruption, deceit, exploitation, conflict, violence, war and teaching as doctrines the commandments of men (Matthew 15:8-9).
