CIBRC Presentation




The Central American Institute for Biological Research and Conservation (CIBRC) is an non-governmental non-profit organization, located in San José, Costa Rica. It was establish in 1998 by professionals in Biology and Conservation, which are currently living in Costa Rica, United States and Europe. Their personnel is currently active at all levels of research, publication and education in the areas of Biology and Conservation.

The aim of the CIBRC is to promote and support scientific development of professionals and projects in the areas of Biology and Conservation in the Central American Isthmus

Research

The CIBRC has the goal of developing and supporting basic and applied research in biology and conservation. In a similar manner, it is important for us to exchange information between those areas of research to achive our goals. The CIBRC has implemented different strategies to bring advice in the creation and execution of projects, and proposals, with the adequate search of founding sources to help young researchers, without any institutional affiliation, a place to develop their projects to increase the scientific level of their countries of origin within the Central American Isthmus. Academics

The CIBRC has the objective of promoting the capasitation of professionals in areas related to biological sciences as well as conservation. In addition, the CIBRC provides courses for the formation and education of communities that will solicit then, to fulfill the local necessities in those communities.

Environmental development

At the CIBRC professionals and researchers in areas related to environmental conservation and community development, with the goal of bringing advise to communities and institutions in the development and execution of environmental friendly initiatives. More...
